Using light products rather than the original product is that a better choice? Light products contain something called aspartame. Aspartame is “fake sugar” and it is made out of two amino acids (Proteins). The reason Aspartame is in light products is because it is sweeter than sugar and also has no carbs, which makes it an excellent choice for the one who do not want to gain weight.
Now this sound so good and you might think what is the catch with it? Well a find out a study that Aspartame was the main reason for several different cancers. This was a study on rats during 2005 so at least we know that rats will get cancer while they are on Aspartame. If humans will get it, well there are no studies on that yet.
Another thing I found out about Aspartame was that it is used as poison for ants. Do you really want to eat ant poison? But then again dark chocolate is poisoned for dogs, do we eat that? Yes we do and it is delicious.
So now you can choose to gain weight with regular coke or use diet coke with ant poison in it.
