Many have already chosen what they are going to do for the next few years after high school. Some has chosen to work, some became pro athletes but most likely you would end up on a college and get yourself a nice degree so you can find yourself your dream job in the future.
Some schools in US have already started their classes and some start their classes in end of this month. So you still have a good time to get into a college fast.
I often hear from people that you really do not need a college education to be successful and most likely these people sharpen their argument by using successful people such as Bill Gates as an ex. It is true Bill Gates dropped college but he was also really smart and had a great idea that he followed to 100%. But because a small amount people succeed without education doesn’t mean that you would do the same. Just the mentality of “not going to college would still make me successful” is a dangerous way to think. College education is a safe path to success and I believe that there are so many people that should go to college because of their lack of knowledge, especially in the US.
When people in the states ask me where I come from I tell them that I am from Sweden then they say “ Ohhh you mean Switzerland?” Well no Switzerland and Sweden are two different countries that have nothing to do with each other and these countries are not even close to each other. I get the questions if we speak European in Europe or “you guys in Europe only speak French right?” There are no language called European, every country has its own language.
I think the funniest thing must be when I tell people that I am a Persian and the response from some people would be” wow that sounds nice, it sound so exotic and I have heard that your people are so nice” the next minute I tell them that I hope they do know that being a Persian means that you are from IRAN! I love to see that look on their face when I say that.
So my advice to you guys are, please go to college and get your education so you would not end up as these people on this video.
