Breakfast - is the most important meal of the day!

Since my life basically is all about school, basketball and working out I thought I could give you a tip for a healthy breakfast. 

The breakfast is the most important meal of the day because it makes your body start working and burn calories, many people that are on a diet make the mistake to skip breakfast and that is the stupidest thing you can do! It does not help you lose weight but actually makes you gain weight. Skipping meals is not good at all because if the body doesn’t get the food that it need it will start eating from the reserve fat on the body, and now you might think that this is a good thing but it’s not! Because the next time you eat  your body will save every little bit of fat that you eat because it’s on “starve mod” and are saving up everything it can. The best way to lose weight is to eat on regular basis but small portions and more often and eat healthy, and of course works out.
But back to the breakfast, protein pancakes! It’s a good and healthy way to start your day, and it helps you to lose weight. And it tastes really good, and if you want you can top it off with strawberries, blueberries, banana or whatever you might like.

Here is the recipe for protein pancakes:
Ingredients
  • 6 tablespoons buckwheat flour
  • 2 tablespoons almond flour
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla whey protein powder
  • 1/4 cup cottage cheese
  • 1/3 cup liquid egg whites
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3 tablespoons milk
Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl and whisk until smooth and fully incorporated.
  2. Heat pancake griddle to medium and grease with butter or baking spray. 
  3. Pour batter and cook on each side for 1-2 minutes.

(These pancakes are made with chocolate protein powder.)
