We all remember what happen on 9/11/01, but how many really do remember that day and how you reaction were?
I remember that I was in school and my mom called me and told me to put on the radio and listen. It was a shock to the world what happen on that day. For us in Sweden we could not imagine how that felt like. But the most shocking thing was that this was the first time anything like this happen on the American land. You would think that something like this would never happen in the greatest city in the world but I guess you get surprised every day.
When I came to New York I was very interesting to hear peoples story about 9/11 and how they reacted to this. I remember one girl in my class mentioned that her dad got the job as the head chef that day and was moved to the top floors. It burned to see that girl cry in the class room when she said that she really missed her dad.
In war you are expected things like this happen but this came out of nowhere and even today 11 years later people are still scared to walk around on the streets and the security level has increased a lot since the first time I arrived.
I hope that no one has to go through what the victims’ families are going through.
