It's the little things that make the biggest difference

Sometimes you have a lot going on in your life, and you might not be able to go to the gym as much as you would like to. So now I will give you some quick and easy tips to still burn some calories, and trust me when I say this - It's the little things that can make the biggest difference.

Commercial break - If you are watching a movie or you favorite show on TV, then use the commercial breaks to go up and walk around the house or apartment.

Take the stairs  - This pretty much explains itself but if you take the stairs instead of the elevator, this will help you burn a lot of calories, and it might even be fun when you see the progress, that you can walk to your floor without getting tired.

Get off a few stops early - If you take the bus to your work, school or were you're going, then go off  a few stops before and walk the last part. Do this every morning and afternoon to and from work/school and you might get an extra 20-30 minutes walk every day.

Walk walk walk! - It is said that you should walk for at least 30 minutes a day to keep your body going, and I have already given you a few tips on what you can do to get some extra exercise, but another thing you can do is use that extra time you have on your lunch break and go out for a walk especially if the weather is good. 




Pedometer - Go out and by yourself a pedometer and have it on you every day and count on how many steps you take each day! Studies show that people that use a pedometer takes about 2500 more steps a day then people without. Try to make yourself walk around 10 000 steps a day, but this is a progress to make if you don't exercise on a regular basis. But say that you walk 3 500 steps a day, teh set your first goal on 5 000 steps and keep putting on steps to your goal.



Some other things that can help you  lose weight is: 

Eat fruit instead of candy, there is a lot of good and tasty fruits like strawberries, watermelon, grapes and a lot more.


Eat slowly, if you do that your body will have a better chance to "say stop" when it is full.

Brush your teeth right after you are done eating this gives the body a signal that you are done eating and can help getting rid of that feeling you have when you want something sweet.
