Air Alert, does it work or not?

Every basketball players dream is to dunk and to jump higher, therefor many different companies has decided to write manuals on how to get a better vertical and all of them promises you to gain a lot of inches.  Some just sound ridiculous; I think it was the Air Alert workout that guarantees you to gain between 10-14 inches after 12 weeks of their program.

So I decided to try it out and give it a shot.  Before Air Alert I could touch the rim on a good day, this is terrible for a 6ft guard and believe me I know it but my biggest concern on the basketball court is not to dunk the ball, my job is to score the 3 pointers and control the ball when I have it. But now when I feel that I master those skills I decided to put some extra time in to my jumping during the off season.

Being honest to you guys, Air Alert was a terrible program and did not help at all. In the description it says that you do not need to lift weight but during the workout plan there is an exercise where you have to use a leg curl. I can say that it is a little bit confusing and unfortunately it did not help my jumping leap at all.

The workouts did feel that they were doing something on my muscles but I did not gain any results. So after 12 weeks of hard work I did not gain anything from it. Maybe I did the exercises wrong but I think it is wrong from the program to guarantee you at least 10 inches, but I guess that is the common thing to do when you want to sell something.

I am happy that I start with Air Alert early in the off season, because I had time to start with an Olympic leg workout for jumpers just in time for the season to start. More about that comes tomorrow.
