A lot of people ask me why I came to Berkeley and if it was easy with basketball. Today I decided to tell you guys the whole story.
There was a time where I weighed over 260 lb, actually it was around 2 years ago and I had to lose weight before I came to Berkeley to play basketball so I had to go up every morning to workout by myself in 3 ft snow. I had a diet and a workout schedule. I gave up the fast food and worked-out at least three times a day. I guess I was mostly motivated to prove everybody wrong that I can accomplish everything I want.
People used to laugh at me when I told them that one of my goals are to come to US and play college basketball. Since I started to play basketball when I was 16, people around me told me it was impossible to do accomplish that.
Well today I am where I am and are not planing to stop developing. I lost 60 lb during that year before I came to Berkeley but I was still not in the shape that I had to be in to play basketball at Berkeley. But the coaches gave me a chance, believing in that I would get in shape during the off season. A lot of thanks goes out to Coach John who always believed in me and always took time off from private life to help me improving and developing my game.
I have always had issues with my weight. If I don't work out for two days, I will definitely gain weight. But I do not lose the weight as fast as I am gaining it. So when I went to Florida I gained 20 lb, I went from 185lb to 205 in ten days. That is why I have to get back to my diet and workout schedule.
If you guys don't believe me just look at these pictures hahaha.
I guess next time when someone says things are Impossible. My response is Impossible is Nothing ;)
