Today had to be the most difficult day to get to school. All trains went slow, the NYPD checked my bag 100 times and walking from Bryant Park to Berkeley took me over 30 min. Why this happened was because of the demonstration today, which I had forgotten about. I really thought that the 1 May demonstrations were only big in Europe because of the Socialist parties but after what I witness today I take back everything I said about the European demonstrations.
In general people in Europe demonstrate against the government because of their salary, taxes etc…. but today I saw people walking around with signs saying legalize marijuana and they were smoking at the same time. To me that gives a signal that people don’t even take these demonstrations serious and they want the government to consider their opinions?
