Today I had tons of stuff to do. My first priority was to go to the bank since my Swedish bank card got damaged I had to go to their New York office to get the new card. I really needed this card because, I use it to sign important papers online and without it I would be in big trouble.
They could not send me the card because of the risk of it getting stolen in the post and if the card gets in the wrong hands then my whole account would be empty in a few seconds. The bank people in Sweden told me that I had to come back to Sweden to get the card since they don’t want to jeopardize my account information and the money.
I really was desperate to have that card and if it really was necessary to get back, I would not have a choice but to take a plane for a weekend back to Sweden but I would be there only for a few hours because the trip there would take me more than 20 hours and to get back would take me 20 hours.
But thanks to Handelsbanken in Sweden I don’t have to spend my time or my money to get that card.
If you Swedish students need a good Swedish bank while you are in New York I recommend you to become their customer. Life will be so much easier.
