Cinco de Mayo in New York and the streets are crowded with drunk people.
I went to the gym today just to get my Saturday workout but when I came to Times Square I realized that it was a lot of people outside and almost everyone were wearing a sombrero (Mexican Hat). I thought for myself first that maybe people are going crazy today or it might be a hat day, hey this is New York you would be surprise everyday here.
Well after a few minutes walking on the streets I remembered that today is El Día de la Batalla de Puebla (English: The Day of the Battle of Puebla). Which is a big holiday for Mexicans and they are celebrating their heritage and pride. What a lot of people don’t know is that Cinco de Mayo is not the Mexican Independence day and it should not been confused with this, because the Mexican Independence day is on September 16th.
Although a lot of people are drinking today, it seemed like the police had everything under control
