Long weekend and a lot to catch up with. It feels strange to not have school for four days, especially when you are coming back from a long summer holiday. But this weekend was a good weekend for school assignments and other personal business. But today I had to buy some fruits for home and what is better than the fruit market on Union Square? Nothing, because all the fruits and vegetable are coming straight from the farmer which is also the seller. The price difference are not so big between the farm fruits and the ones you buy at you supermarket. Sometimes the farmers sell it cheaper too and you know that the farmer’s fruits are much healthier than the one from supermarket because they don’t put any chemicals on them.
I like to believe in helping local business develop rather paying to multimillionaire companies. Because the local farmer lives on the success of their corps. Not only that, US needs more farmers. Did you know that about 80 years ago America had over 60% agriculture and today the country runs on only 4%? Something to think about!
