That’s Roosevelt Island, it’s a little island located in the river between Manhattan and Queens. And it’s really the coziest little place in New York just to go away and think, and be away from the city rush.
It has an air tram that goes over the water and in line with the queens bridge, that’s located on 60th street and 2nd avenue. The trip to Roosevelt Island is worth the trip alone, trust me.
It’s a little island and you could walk around it without any problem, it’s really nice, and you feel like you left New York when you are there, which can be nice sometimes. They have a few selections of cafes, but my recommendation would be to bring your own little picnic, that makes the whole trip even more special and fun.
I would definitely recommend Roosevelt Island to everybody, tourists and New Yorkers
