This week my roommate asked me if I wanted to go with her to a fabric store for a school project, I had some time over in between practice. I was excepting to be bored the whole time I was there, but it turned out to be a lot of fun. The place is two whole floors filled with fabrics from the floor all the way up to the ceiling, and they have every possible fabric you can imagine. It was actually very fun to just go around and look at everything, and see the prices, who knew fabric could be so expensive? They had a lace fabric that was over $500 a yard. For me that was just absolutely absurd. The owners where there and they were both super friendly, and helpful with both showing us around and, answering questions. They told us that their fathers started this company over 60 years ago, and when they decided to retire left the store to their kids. When they told us the story about their fathers opening this company and that it had been in the families ever since, for me just made the visit even more wonderful. You could see that they had been raised with this in their lives, because they had a real passion for their company and for their fabrics. If you ever need fabric, you should totally go to Rosen & Chadick, they are the best in the city! They are located on 7th ave and the corner of 40th street, second and third floor.
