Yesterday afternoon during the Boston Marathon something terrible happened, most people here in US noticed it only minutes after the incident but I still get calls from people back home in Sweden with questions about the explosion at the Marathon
Apparently there were two explosions close to the finish line, close to 200 people got injured and unfortunately 3 people died. The news are saying that the bombs had sharp metal items flying around and hitting people. According to New York Times the bombs had been hidden in bags laying on the street and US is not sure who is responsible for this act.
Even though this happened in Boston, the NYPD during yesterday and today took the security level a bit higher just to make sure that this will not happen in New York also.
I feel very bad for these people that were affected by this tragedy and my prayers are going to the family of the victims.
