One thing you got to love about New York is the multicultural environment. New York is like the world in one city. We have every culture from the whole world in this city and everyone respects each other’s culture.
For those that don’t know me well, I was born and raised in Sweden but my parents are Persian. That means that they come from Iran. Iran is one of the most beautiful countries in the world but unfortunately the media has damaged the reputation about Iran.
Quick facts, did you guys know that the Persian Empire which existed from 539 BC to 331 BC was the biggest Empire ever existed? It stretched from Egypt to India, if that doesn’t sound big to you guys then take a good look at the world map and you will understand what I am talking about. Another great fact about the Persian Empire, the Persian Empire was the first Empire to have no slaves and also women were equal to men and that was more than 2500 years ago.
You guys play chess? That was also found by Persians, it was created as a war strategic for the kings.

Now you might ask why I speak so much about Persians and the reason is that on Sunday the 14th of April 12, 2013 it will be a Persian parade at 12 pm between 39thand 26th st on Madison. This year will be the 10th anniversary of the parade in New York and it will be over 100 thousands of people observing it.
I recommend you guys to take apart of it because after the parade it will be a party in Madison Square Park and you will be able to try on some of the Persian food and sweets.
