Final today and we played St Joseph again in the Final for the HVMAC. For the last 3 years I have been in the Berkeley uniform we have been playing against St joseph, every year we blow them out but today was going to be a struggle win.
In first half we were playing amazing, taking rebounds, making our shots, playing defense and at some point it look like St Joseph’s gave up and in half time we walked out with a 17 point lead. Now this is what I don’t like, I hate to be the team leading in half because we as a team have some issues coming out the second half and play the same way we have been doing the first half.
So during our first 10 min St Josephs were playing better than us, they were taking advantages of our turnovers and misses. The game became a close game and at one point St Joseph’s took the lead but our coaches took a timeout and adjust our issues and we came back and won the final with 4 points.
It was some heartbreaking moments where our seniors Kaseem Williams and Jose Stable were playing their last time in front of their Berkeley Fans.
The regular season and play offs is over now and I can say that we had our ups and downs but the coaches always kept us together and no matter what anyone says to us you coaches are the coaches of the year. No one seems to understand how much time and effort these coaches put down for us players, sometimes we takes things for granted and I would really like to thank you coaches for everything you do. I am really happy to come back next year and finish off my college career playing for you guys.
Next week is going to be our most important week, next week we are going to go to Pittsburgh to play the nationals and the games are going to be streaming live, I will provide you guys with the link.
