Game vs King College

Today we played Kings College, a very easy game but still important to our advancing to the USCAA Championship.

First half we started with a great defense and a wonderful offence; we were moving the ball, taking the right shots and sometimes even sacrificing our own shot so somebody else on the team could get a better shot. Really great team work on the court, something that we have to apply to every game we play.

Second half same thing here, great defense and great offence. I admire Kings College, because they were disciplined, had respect and really tried their best and I give them a lot of credit for that.

Coaches decided to play everyone today which I believe is great because these freshman’s have to get some experience on the court but there are some few things that have to be worked on but hey, they got at least another 3 years left.

Tomorrow we play our last “home” game, the game will be at Hostos at 11.45 against Albany  

Watching Game Tapes With the Team

Last week we had a terrible lost against NHTI. We lost the game by 3 points but there was more than that. Our coach had us guards gathered on a Saturday morning in a room to have us watch the game tape. The reason behind it was simple, we sometimes don’t think when we are on the court and lots of things are shown in the tape that you don’t see in the game. A good example is that we don’t use the shot clock good enough, we don’t talk in D etc… As you can see these is stuff that could be fixed without a problem but we as a team has to figure out a way to correct these issues. The coaches have done their job, now it’s up to us to prove them that we want to win the championship.

Next weekend we will have a home game and I will let you guys know what time exactly. 

One thing I wish I'd known when I started my online program

Before taking an online class I thought it was going to be simple, probably just a few GHAs, a Midterm, and Final. Oh boy if I were wrong, just because it’s online doesn’t it make it simpler or less work, and you have to be very disciplined and follow up your work. 

Almost every online class has at least 1 GHA each week, 1 Discussion Board post, Answering at least 3 posts on Discussion board, Midterm, Final and probably some term projects. It’s a lot to do, but at the same time you can do a lot of your homework one day and have off rest of the week - If you work hard and stay focused.  

Online classes are the perfect choice for students who work, don’t have time to go get to a physical location, or have responsibilities at home making it difficult to take traditional classes. 

So to anyone who wants to take online class, take a real look at the negatives and the positives of taking courses online.  You should think about how these will impact you personal before you make a decision.
